confused  Hi everyone has been very helpful and alot of my crohnnie friends have mentioned support groups.   There is one pretty close to my home......but I heard different things about it and I feel like I just won't fit in.  I am not good with people I don't know I just can't open up when I am face to face with a room full of people.....I did ask several times when I was hospitalized about the support group since it was at that hospital and they said they would send someone down to talk to me.....my doctor actually said I wouldn't fit in that they worked and alot of them were professionals what ever that meant I almost ask what they don't accept rednecks (I love Jeff Foxworthy and those guys they make me laugh)  So that made  me more uncomfortable then a woman in my room said she had gone and it was like different clicks the last thing I need is to redo high school....I am from good old South Jersey  (The Garden State)  If anyone out there has any personal expereince with this group please leave message thanks

Never been to a support group but think it might be interesting. Hey you fit in...you have crohn's too. Maybe they need the variety and eye opening of someone new and different. They can't stay in high school mode forever can they?

Your Dr. actually said you wouldnt fit in?
I find that offensive.
Ive never been to a support group but would try one and see what it was like.
You could just go along and try it and if you dont like it - then nothing ventured nothing gained :).

I agree with SydneyJo. Give it a try, if you don't like it, you don't have to go again. But you won't know if YOU like it or not, without trying. JMHO
