Hello everyone! So I have been flaring and so far every drug I've tried has not been working. Since my last post they have been weaning me off the Prednisone as quickly as possible because I tend to get painful side effects and now I am down to 10mgs a day. Pretty soon I will be off the drugs entirely and as happy as I am about it I am currently on nothing else. I am technically a medical failure according to my doc because every drug, on the market or in studies. hasn't seem to work or last more than a year. So now I am stuck --- I have never had any operations and don't feel I am sick enough for surgery. What do I do?

PS - and in addition I have been constipated for a week or two and cannot go to the bathroom unless I take a laxative to help it along! Is that the definition of a blockage or because I can go (with help) then it's not a blockage?

Thanks so much!

If you have a blockage, even a partial obstruction you would be in severe pain. It feels exactly like have contractions. Well at least that's how it is for me. I always get D a day before an episode and then the day of I don't pass anything. When I flare and have what I call pencil poops then I know I need to go on a low residual diet or it will aggrevate my stricutres.
