Well, I thought I was doinf well. I must say I'm feeling great since my sigmoid colectomy last Sept. I went for a check up and it turns
out that I have a abdominal hernia. They said I went back to work too soon which is ironic because he is the one who sent me back. I'm an industrial mechanic so I guess I was lifting too much weight.

Has anyone had this surgery??. I know its nothing compared to my last one. Just curiuos

Thanks in advance

I have not had this surgery, but hopefully some who has will be along soon. So sorry to hear another surgery is in the cards for you.

Yes Jay, I had insisional, bulging, hernia repair 5 weeks ago. I put it off until friends noticed it under my clothes.(not what I would recommend). I knew that I also needed a small intestion resection and an abscess drained. In my case,i decided that since it all needed to be done , I would only have one anethesia bill to worry about. Good financial, plan, poor medical plan. Will this be a laparoscopic or conventional procedure?

I also was told that I did too much and now have an abdominal hernia. It really doesn't bother me except when I want to exercise or when I eat too much at one sitting. My family doc told me I could hold off for awhile. I'm guessing she thinks I will need more intestional surgery in the future so I might as well wait. I'm sure someone will come along with lots of experience. Good luck!!
