So I have been on Humira since April, For the most part I am doing well. Gained 10 lbs, and no pain or cramps, however my stools were very loose the last 8 weeks, and the last week and a half have just been diahrea. At first it didnt bother me because there was no urgency and I wasnt going more than twice a day. But yesterday I went a lot, and last night I went twice, and this morning I have went twice...
any ideas of what it could be??? is this normal with Humira...I am still not having crohns cramps or anything but Im not feeling so great having Diahrea either.

I have been on Humira since April as well and I am also having the same problems. I'm having a slight increase in pain on top of it.  I am thinking about talking to my doctor about possibly switching to a new med because I am worrying it is losing its effectiveness.  I hope that is not the case for you.  Good luck and sorry I can't offer any help.

Humira is a funny drug, and I'm still trying to work it out.

Sometimes I, too, get d in the first few days after injection, and I have no idea why. It usually settles down eventually, and I get a good 11 or so days before it wears off and my gut symptoms start to increase again.

Yeah I'm learning that it's really about expectations, I think I expected a lot because my dr said people of long periods of remmission on this drug and that has been my case for the majority of my span of disease. however in the past 6 years it has really been more activecand present on a regular basis.

I've been taking Humira for a year now. I've never had any D problems on it myself.

I don't know if Humira is still working or not. I had to miss a dose once due to problems getting the prescription, and I felt no different during that time then when I take the drug.

Spooky, it might take more than one missed dose for you to really feel the effects.

Yeah, it's just that everyone else seems to feel worse right before their next dose. My dad also takes Humira, and starts feeling worse 2 or 3 days before every shot.

Does anyone know the longest someone has successfully been on Humira?

Hi Doc2007, spookyhurst:

My g'son has been on Humira since Apr/09 - one shot every 2nd week - he is also on 80mgs of Imuran.  He is anemic, fatigued, achy & sore all over but no nausea or diahrrea...   He gets really tired for about 3 days after his shot but picks up abit till just before his next shot.

His GI Specialist upped his dose of Imuran from 50 to 80 mgs & just recently took him off Prednisone entirely.  It's just since these changes that  he is so achy.  He doesn't see her for another 2 months but I'm thinking he may have to go back on a low dose of Prednisone.

Hope you all get feeling better soon.....  Hugs.

My energy levels are lousy, but other than that, I'm doing okay. One or two formed BMs a day, no cramping, occasionally a small bit of blood on the stool. The biopsies from my colonoscopy in May showed microscopic inflammation, so the GI says the disease is mildly active. I'm supposed to consult a surgeon soon to see what he thinks I should do about my ileocal valve (major scar tissue has shrunk it to 7mm). However, it's not bothering me (I don't eat any foods that could plug it up), so I'm uncertain about what to do. I'm also getting a CT scan of the small bowel soon to see how things look there.

My weight is finally up! I gained several pounds in the last two months and have hit the 100 mark cool.

Well I went to urgent care this morning, for D and turns out I'm running a fever. He gave me antibiotics for D and I'm taking some stool cultures. Took a nap bit woke up totally warm and achy like flu symptoms but no cough, Runny nose, or sneezing...
