I have had horrible burning sharp pains in my entire digestive system since last night. My prescription prilosec doesn't stop it at all. I can pass gas and do have gas. Sometimes the pain is so bad that I can't sit up straight. I am just wondering if gas pains can get this bad or if it's possibly something else, perhaps an ulcer? This is different than my usual Crohn's pain. I have no idea what is going on! It's like there is a horrible lightening storm in my stomach! I was very nauseous last night, and at least that has subsided, but the pain has increased.
Dx with Crohn's Colitis; Meds: Pred and Imuran; female in late 20s.

I can only comment on the ulcer part, and what it feels like with me.

It's a burning feeling in the high uper part of the stomach. if I eat something that trigers it, I feel nausea and then 10 mins later I throw up everything I've just eaten. Sometimes if I'm lucky the nausea feeling will stop and I fall asleep. Most times it doesn't play out like that, I usualy still throw up every 2 mins of acid (cuts my lips) thats when I know I have to go to the hospital, get iv,morphine(nothing else works) and gravol. I'm usualy stable after.

Do you have feelings like this?
