I tried to search...really I did.  I only found really old posts and could not find an answer.  I remember a discussion about something other than low B12 and flagyl causing tingling in the face and hands.  What was it?  anyone remember?  Was there another vitamin/mineral lack that caused this?

I know that low B12 could not be an issue as I just did my shot under 2 weeks ago.  I was terribly sick last week---no solids for 6 days, vomiting Monday and Thursday.  I feel much better now.  Even ate solids last night.

But...my lips are tingling as bad as they did at their worst when I was on the flagyl.  My hands are tingling off and on all day.  The lips are constent.

I don't have any idea Habs, but I think you should still call your doc and discuss this.

It can be many things. It really needs a proper diagnosis. For a list of many possibilities to worry about, see: http://www.neurologychannel.com/neuropathy/causes.shtml

I have had this tingling when my potassium and magnesium were low.  I was having severe diarrhea and was eating very litted for over a month.  In fact, it was so bad my fingers and toes actually started to draw up.  I ended up in the hospital for 4 days with IV's of mag. and potassium.  Have your doctor check your levels.

Hope you feel better.

Thanks Maggie Lou!  I think the K and magnesium was what was discussed in a prior post...I just could not remember what had been said.  I have less tingling now as I finally at some chicken and took my vitamins again.  I think I just depleted my stores of vitamins and minerals...I don't have any magnesium supplements, but I can get K more up to date in my system....

Have a banana or a potassium pill ? That should do the trick. Just remember, not too much. The old ticker will flutter to a stop. Hmmmm, theres a thought,,,,,done in by a nanner ...

When I was on Flagyl and Cipro last (about a month ago) I did experience some tingling only around my mouth. But it wasn't really bothersome just barely noticeable.
