... at what point am I supposed to start ringing professionals / going to the hospital?

Is it 37.8 or 38C? I forget.

Naturally, it's out of business hours so I can't just ring my gastro and check. Isn't that always the way?

I'm very reluctant to get local help on this. Our local hospital is pretty... um... innocent and naive when it comes to dealing with these specialised meds.

I think the fever is supposed to be at 38C. At least thats what I have read about the swine flu in particular. It still seems if you are at 37.8 you are close enough. Hope you get this figured out soon and taken care of.

Hugs

*sigh* Thanks, Nanners.

I'll try to think who to call, then. It's a bit tricky under current circumstances, as you can imagine.

Ivy,

3 weeks ago the nurse was here to start my humira, she said if the fever goes higher then 38C go to the hospital.

How is your fever now? when was your last shot?

Worried about you! make sure to take care of yourself, don't let it go to far. I know how all of us crohnies can push ourselves in to  not going to the hospital. But when on meds like these we need to!  Keep us posted!

My temp is normal at the moment, as it's early morning here. It tends to climb in the afternoon and peak in the evening, and each peak seems to be getting higher.

I'm due to inject tomorrow. Hmmm. Don't know what to do.

I suppose I should call someone, shouldn't I?

*mutters darkly* Am not wanting to end up in hospital AGAIN because of a temp...

I'm in Australia; as far as I know there's no Humira hotline. It'll have to be the doctors, unfortunately.

I've called them and left a message; the receptionist says the doc will probably call back this afternoon.

Thanks for your advice, everyone.
