How low does depression take a person before they seek help
My wife was diagnosed w/ crohn's 4 years ago, has had a resection 7 months ago and refuses to take maintenance medications just vitamins. the downhill turn has not stopped. I can no longer deal with her because she is so confused. She is coming near the end of a 20 year marrage that she filed for divorce. If I try to talk she just keeps telling he thats not the way it is going to be. her doctor knows she has emotional problems but she will not go see him. I'm good for nothing unless she asks me to do something for her, will depression or crohn's do the mind in first

I don't know if you can hope to help if she is looking for a divorce. Have you talked about what she plans to do in the future? Does she have a job? Does she admit to being confused? If you can ask such questions without triggering her defenses, it might bring her around to accepting more help from someone. If she really does not want meds, send her here to look at the diet information in the Resources post at the top of the forum.

She only knows I,m the problem , w/ divorce laws in canada the man becomes poor, she works every day but I do laundry, cooking, cleaning aswell I pay mortgage which she believes will still happen with support payments. The councilling she had determined she has a serius emotional problem otherwise she would have moved out instaed of still living here over 2 years later

Excuse me, the men become poor after divorce in Canada ?
I am a divorced mother of two and believe me, my ex husband has far more disposable income than I do. When it came to a settlement, he had his accountant devalue his business so that on paper it was worth nearly zero. I had to give him half of my pension, even though I was always the main breadwinner and my job kept us afloat through 21 years of marriage.
Believe me, he is not poor.
