I'm confused now. I have to start drinking the colyte in a few hours. Instructions that came with colyte say just mix with water. Pharmacist and other instructions I have say mix with crystal light for flavor. I know it's going to be difficult for me to keep down as I am very sensitive to bad tastes. I did get raspberry lemonade crystal light, but how much do I add, and should I add it or try to drink it straight? I got straws too. I am taking dulcolax as well, and bought a bottle of miralax just in case.

So what's the lesser evil with the colyte? And if I can't keep it down, do I mix the miralax with anything and how much/how often do I drink that?

Does plugging your nose while you drink help? I've only ever done the fleet phospho stuff before and that barely stayed down. I'm really worried. I just want to get this over with.

Thanks for your help!

Holding your nose does help. And make sure it's COLD. Flavor would help, but I don't know how much to add. I never could keep it all down, but it still did the job.

I use Miralax because you can mix it in any liquid and it is tasteless.

How much miralax is needed? I bought the smaller bottle. I was hoping that with the dulcolax and maybe some of the colyte staying down it would be enough.

Oh is the rasberry red colored?? Mu doctor said nothing with red or orange coloring. I just held my breath tight and chugged it and then chased it with water. I hope you are able to get it down!!!

The raspberry turned pink when I added it. I thought considering I drank most of it straight maybe that will be ok. I got through about half of the jug and seem to be running very clear now. Well, yellow-clear. No noticeable residue like before. I was expecting it to take longer since I was eating late last night. But Hooray! I choked it down! I did some gagging, but got through it. Definitely colder is better. I took a break and it actually started freezing. I used a straw and plugged my nose. But it was easier than the phospho stuff I used years ago. Oh, and I chased it with diet 7 up. That helped a lot.

Now I'm hungry. My hubby brought home kfc for the kids. It smells good. I can't wait for my first meal tomorrow.
