I had to call my insurance company last week to change my primary doctor. Had to call again this morning to check on a referral. They always make you give your address and date of birth for verification. Sorry wrong address. Well come to find out, I now live at my doctor's office. Last week when I called, the woman I spoke to changed not only my primary doctor, but also my address. So now they want me to call my husband HR department to change my address, because, and this is the priceless part, they can't change addresses, they aren't authorized! I will be calling again later today and speaking with a manager if I have to. Its the point now. I want to make them do it. I have had too many people in the last few weeks provide crappy customer service that I have reached my breaking point, and someone will have to pay. I will work my way up the corporate ladder if I have to just to prove the point that they actually CAN change my address, since they DID change it. Ok, rant over, now I have to try to get the doctor's office to do the referral that wasn't done so I can go to the other doctor. My life is so much fun!

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Geesh!!! They obviously can change the address because THEY DID!! Sorry you are getting the run around so bad. I agree going to a supervisor. Good luck!

Sometimes I feel like I live at my Doctors office, might as well be my address, at least I could read my mail while I wait :).
Sorry you are going through all that bureaucratic crap.
Good luck with being heard by them.

They insist that it was my Husbands company that sent out a periodic update and that is how the mix up happened. Yah right, on the same day that I change my primary care doctor, I don't think so. I am waiting for a call back and if it isn't fixed tomorrow, I move up a rung on the ladder, cause now, its a sport for me.

Ay, yeah! Some days I'm in just "the" right mood that I get a perverse pleasure out of tackling the medical profession and giving them a hard time. HIPAA has taken a lot of fun out of life for me because access to copies of my medical records was often cause for a good fight I could always win - eventually. I've been fortunate up to now (knock, Knock, KNOCK) that I've had only 2-3 minor insurance problems and each time it was a coding mistake by the treating facility.

ENJOY, Zanne!!!
