Oh that is wonderful news!! I so hope he is able to help you the way he helped me!! I know it is a long drive but if he helps you it will be worth it! Let me know how it goes. And tell him that one of his patients from DC is so sad that he left!!
Diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.

I would also like to thank you Fallcolours (even though this is not my thread) ….. I received so much advice from you and other members like Ivy and I don’t know what I would have done without that advice. I now have a great colo-rectal surgeon and a fantastic gastro who are going to fight for my cause, I know it. I have a new sense of peace-of-mind which I have never had since being diagnosed with Crohn’s – now I finally know I am in the right hands, regardless of what happens.

I first came to you with a swelling abscess and extreme pain and it has been a long journey and is not yet over (mushroom drain still in butt, and fistula still there, and seton still there, waiting for remicade etc, don’t know if it will work for me/close fistula)…. But I just wanted you to know that you have helped me so much and made such a difference. Thanks also to Ivy if you’re reading this. I cannot put a price on the advice I have been given here.

Why thank you Phoebe. I appreciate your kind words. I was helped enormously when I first found this forum. I too was very sick and endured months of difficulties. Just reading the experiences of others on this board helped me find my way through it. I agree that there is great comfort in having a knowledgeable support network -- even if they are scarttered all over the world. So now you too are helping others get through their own ordeals. But lets not forget the most thanks goes to the creator of HealingWell. I hope he truly knows how much he has helped us and how much we adore him! And our fabulous moderators who do more work than we will ever know! Lets all say a prayer of thanks for all of them!
