Just curious if any of you have trouble sleeping on your stomach at night?  I love to sleep on my stomach but lately I've noticed that i wake up and my abdomen hurts!!  It hurts in the same place (right sided) that I hurt from my Crohns.  Anyone else??

I cannot sleep on my stomach due to a bad back, so I'm no help.

I have too much stomach to sleep on. Plus every time I would pass gas I would drop 4 inches. It would be up and down and up and down all night...

I don't sleep on my stomach, so can't help there. But I am a side sleeper and can only lay on my right side for a few minutes, otherwise I get super gassy and my stomach gets upset. I sleep on my left side most of the time.

Lately I have been having this issue as well. I am a stomach sleeper, but now when I lay on my stomach, within a few minutes I become very uncomfortable, almost as something is pressing into my stomach. It's very frustrating.

During the summer of 2006, I completed the Adacolumn Apheresis clinical trial, which helped me enjoy 2+ years of remission and more than one year med-free. During spring and summer of 2009 the symptoms slowly but surely began to return, and now I'm flaring again.
Colonoscopy/endoscopy scheduled for 9/10; barium X-ray scheduled for 9/18
Currently taking: 4g Pentasa, 20mg prednisone, 150mg Trazadone, multivitamin, vitamin D supplement

Before I had my resection (sigmoid colon), I used to put a pillow lengthwise under my left side if I wanted to sleep on my stomach. No pain, just some discomfort and this seemed to help.

I'm a stomach sleeper too and have experienced the same discomfort over the past many months (been flaring). I think my new PPI prescription is helping.
