hello, i am new to this site, i hav been dx with m.e. for more than 20yrs now i am 44yrs old. since being dx i hav had an array of more conditions added to my long list of things.

i will list some of them.

oesophagitis (grade 1) with some mucus.
chronic idiopathic urticuria
hiatus hernia.
restless legs syndrome
asthma
osteoarthritis
cervical sponylosis
raynauds phenomenum
i.b.s.
sinus

many more conditions, sorry about the spelling.

at the moment the skin specialists has put me on ciclosporin tabs for the skin probs, which has worked a treat, i believe i am in remission , most of the aching joints hav stopped not so severe all the nasal drip and flu_like symptons has eased the skin has settled down but despite all this relieve i am still very unwell no energy ever constant fatique this has and still is the on-going prob with m.e i hav been housebound now for many yrs.

my question to you good folks in the hope you can answer me is, have any of you suffer with crohn`s disease, if so has any of you had the same sx as me.

i have had constant diarreah for about 15yrs of my illnes always under weight it has only been in the last 4 yrs i hav gained weight and now suffer with severe constipation (i hav had bowel probs in the past, bowel bleed that i was in hospital for a while and polyps removed) anyway at the end of the day they dx me with i.b.s in shich for a moment i dont think it is that as i suffer constant constipation i hav to take stuff to go, if i dont take anything then i dont go and get very unwell.

the docs are looking into this at the moment as i hav eosophagus probs, i hav severe dry eyes which i am on meds for also i hav constant canker sores ,

is it possible to have crohns disease even though now i am more constipated than the other, somebody told me because i hav never been dx or treated for crohns that it can lead to the sx i hav got at the moment, i also have had a blocked bowel i feel like i never empty, always in a lot of belly pain, burning feeling very neurotic at the moment. does any of this sound familiar to any one else who has been dx with this illness.

any insight would be very much appreciated. thanx joanne

I have had Crohns Disease for almost 34 years now. I am one that does not suffer with diarrhea, but more constipation. I have to take stool softners nightly or else I will be in a world of hurt. Have you had a colonoscopy done with biopsies? That is one of the best ways to see if you have Crohns or not. Good luck!

o dear, i hav had colonoscopy in the past about 10 or more yrs ago this is when they discovered i had polps, they removed them and not thought to be cancerous. this yr i started to get severly constipated that i had a blocked bowel, started to suffer with heart burn and gerd they sent for me to have the camera down my eosophagus then realised it is inflamed i am on omeprozole for it, i have started to suffer with conjunctivitis all the time with mouth ulcer i feel generally like i am losing the plot.

they did bloods to see if i am suffering with celiac disease but that came back ok.

my kidney function is a bit low but that could be the chemo drugs i am on.

thanx so much for your replu

Sounds like then you need another repeat scope. If they do one, you might want to make sure they do biopsies. Sometimes the intestines look okay, but when they do the biopsies they find the Crohns. Goodluck!

hi, i was just looking at yr comment about it being scaty when yr bowel sounds like a coffee maker, this happened to me hence why i ended up the docs as the noise terrified me, i thought i was going to explode, but since them i hav not heard no noise hardly, it has now gone to quite, which indeed is scaring me as i think it is the calm before the storm as to speak, i hav also noticed quite a foul smelling on my breath now and again in which is not me as i dont smoke(used too) anymore.

thanx joanne8
