Has anyone ever had their MCH come back high on a CBC? If so can anyone tell me what it means and if it is a problem?

I am not sure what it means, but if you go to labtestsonline.org you might find some answers there. Good luck!

My MCH [Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin] and MCV have been elevated for 6 years now. At the same time, my RBCs [red blood cells] nave been low. I am told I have anemia of chronic disease. My hemoglobin and hematacrit are most always normal, so I don't have anemia from low blood volume. My anemia results from the immaturity of the red blood cells thatr I make. Occasionally mildly elevated MCH or MCV values are not normally a concern, just something that is watched.
