Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share my joy...the surgery to have a colostomy and the removal of my rectum has been set for Nov. 23!! It only took 12 years of prodding and finally demanding something be done.
I will no longer be a victim of my pathetic excuse for a rectal muscle. No more accidents and leaving my underwear all over western Canada!! I am so excited to finally have my life back. I will keep everyone updated! smilewinkgrin

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Trigirl - would you please email me? I have some questions regarding your history and the resulting colectomy that I would like to ask you without hijacking this thread. My email icon is active. Thanks!
