Hey everyone.  i have a question.  i have not had a bowel movement today.  sorry tmi.  i have bloating, a little stomach pain and gas.  i feel like i have to go soon but no urge at all.  this is coming from someone who has at least 5 to 7 bowel movements a day.  is it normal not to have a bm in a whole day?  it has been a while since that happened.  thanks

It's a weird disease...on occassions (maybe 3 times in my 18 yrs of having this DD) I've not had any BM's, I figured it was the ignorent disease giving me a break....big WHOOP eh....anyways, it can happen even if it is rare, but you shuld keep any eye on your bloating, if it gets worse or if you feel alot of discomfort and still haven't "gone" then that could be a sign of a blockage for which you'd have to either see your doc right away or go to the ER.

Hope it's nothing more than just a break...plus there's always the chance you may "go" later tonight or something.

:)
bee propolis caps 500mg one cap twice/day
omegas 369 caps one cap twice/day
probiotics 10 billion cfu once/day
vitamins C-calcium ascorbate (easy on the gut) and vitamin A each once/day
Prodiem fibre supplement one cap before bed
I've also altered my diet (no junky stuff at all, processed, fast-foods, refined sugars, ect) and exercise regularly.
I went from 30+ bloody BM's/day with lots of lower back pain to an average of 5/day no bleeding no back pain and completely formed stools, still have severe urgency issues.
~~~~~~~~My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)~~~~~~~~
Depends, before my diagnosis I literally only had like 1 BM per week, then I went to like 20x a day or more when I was sick. When I'm feeling better, I still have times where I only go once every few days, but it isn't as often as before. We're all different, but for me I have had periods where I've gone from going multiple times a day to nothing at all too, and it's usually been a good sign for me. As previous posts have said, however, you do want to make sure you don't get a blockage or anything, too. If it continues for a few days and you're uncomfortable with it, you could try taking a stool softener or something.
