Hi there Randy! How are you doing?
I've managed to keep my name off the inpatient list at our local large military hospital since my last admission in August. Whew....! That does not mean that I haven't spent a large number of days making the rounds of the vascular surgeon, ortho hand surgeon, ophthamologist and my primary doc. In fact I was there yesterday and then again today. Today I took a new civilian script to the satellite pharmacy on main post. After 1.5 hours they tell me that they don't have any Imuran. So I truck over to the main hospital pharm to wait again. All this took 1/2 of my day. I appreciate that I am very fortunate to have inexpensive insurance coverage but it takes lots and lots of time to work the system.

Sorry for the rant. All in all, I am doing better. Both hands were basically useless for a couple months, That's why I wasn't responding to many posts. Just couldn't type. The hand surgeon injected three joints on the left hand and then 2 days later the rheumy injected both thumb joints on the right hand. Thankfully the injections worked and I have some mobility in the joints back.

I'm going to have to answer lots of posts so I can keep ahead of Sniper and pass you up! I didn't realize I was that close to 5K. ~~ Ides

Imuran situation - that's absurd, Ides, and not good enough. It's not as if Imuran is an unusual medication.

So glad your hands are improving.

Well actually for military hospital I could see that happening.

So here I am again, bringing up the rear. Hope you feel much better soon Ides and then you can type with two fingers like old sniper. I can even type with one finger when I have a cup of coffee in the other hand. I know how you feel playing ring around the waiting rooms. I hate that game. Sometimes my appointment calinder is day after day of doctors. I sure can get bench butt in those lousy chairs they have. Wheres the recliner, they can wake me when its time. Hang in there and keep us up to date,,,,,,,,can you type with your toe ????
