Has anyone had surgery for hemmrriods?  I have a partial rectal prolaspe and read that sometimes they perform a hemriodectomy and wanted to know what the recoop time is like.  Prof

Prof...yes I had surgery. But, in my case, they were thrombrosed and necrotized, and I had the worst pain that one could possible belive. Okay, with out complications, or in my case 2 surgeries in less than a month, sitting normal is going to be difficult for at least 2 months as is trying to go the bathroom. Make sure you take you softeners post-op to make it come out nice and easy so there is minimal tears while on the toilet.

Me...the gloommy gus that I am, I have not been able to sit correctly since surgery 3 years ago. But that is because I had numerous fissures and tags that kept interfering. I do not think this will happen to you. But make sure you talk to your doctor about all these questions too.
