Hey everyone. I started posting on this forum 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with CD. Fortunately enough I've been doing well after the initial months of being really sick. I was put on Remicade and have been on it for a little over a year now. However, it doesn't seem to be working as effectively as it used to. I'm starting to get lots of stomach pains again, uneasy stomachs after eating or exercising, and have been using the bathroom a little more than usual. Does this mean that the Remicade isn't working as well anymore and I should talk to my doctor about switching? Another issue on my mind is that I've been getting random bloody noses lately and they tend to be really bad. I always seem to have trouble stopping the bleeding once it's started. Has anyone else had this issue and do you think it's linked to something? I'm not sure if this is just due to dry weather or if it's a concern I should bring to my doctor...

Yes, I think you should bring both issues - nose and gut - to the attention of your doctor.

You might find it helpful to keep a record of your symptoms over the course of one or two treatment cycles so your doc can see, for certain, just when you start to have trouble, and how severe your symptoms are.

Do you know how to keep a CDAI diary?

I am kind of in the same boat as well, I was on humira and my symptoms started getting worse. Now my doctor insists my crohns symptoms are really just IBS symptoms and my crohns is a diffferent issue which the medicine I'm taking is working on keeping more strictures from forming and that I need to control my IBS symptoms with citracel and other meds? I'm very confused by this and I'm getting worse. The first few years were kind of mild and now I'm in the bathroom all of the time?

Taking Pentasa. Adverse reactions to Remicade. B12 Injections.  Tried Humira, had adverse reactions as well.  Trying to figure out what's next!
