All doctors take Fridays off, either all day or at least a half day from noon on off.

I FINALLY get my husband to agree to having a colonoscopy. He's 70 and has had only one in his entire life, 5 years ago. And that was by a gastro we don't know who barely spoke to us after, never provided us w/a copy of the results, nor did my husband's family doctor say more than it was clear, you won't need another for 5 years. (We do NOT use the same doctor - for obvious reasons, I don't put up w/so little info from a doctor).

When I say my gastro last month she said if my husband changes his mind and agrees to a colonoscopy to call her office and they would get him scheduled before the first of the year deductables start.

So today, FINALLY, after talking to his brother and what his brother is going thru and as yet unDx'd, hubby agreed to scheduling a colonoscopy. My gastro now has 3 other gastros in her office so maybe we can still get him scheduled before the first of the year w/any one of them.

But - its past noon, on a Friday.

Did I mention, I HATE Fridays!

DON"T get sick on a Friday around here unless you are sick enough to be willing to spend hours waiting in ER. Nothing but ER care around here from Friday noon to Monday AM.

See for me, it was always I hate Mondays! My doctor of 21 years took Mondays off. So if you could hold off and make it through the weekend, you were still screwed cause you still had to make it through Monday! I just changed doctors and the new practice has about 5 or 6 doctors so it shouldn't be a problem to see someone.

Is your husband likely to change his mind. I think I would make him pinky swear!

If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

No worries, she can easily get him in.  She moved my scope up from Jan. to just last Thursday.  It was scheduled 2 weeks out...so not bad.   Had it done at PMI...really liked it there.

Ah, CrohnieMomx2, did I ever tell what that team at PMI did to me my last scope???

You know how I always insist that we video the monitor??

Yeah, well. When I got home and started watching the video - those turkeys first took a good shot of my laying there zonked out, mouth hanging open, they're all standing around, our gastro included, laughing and waving and saying, "Hi, Judy". And Medley is grinning, waving and laughing hardest of all. I KNOW she put them up to it! I laughed so hard I darn near piddled my britches watching them. What a great bunch!

Heck, I was just in to see her the 12th of Oct and they didn't schedule my scope until 18 Dec!! I hope they can get him in!!

I really, really like PMI! From Becky in reception on 1st floor right on up to Lynn in DEXA and mammograms on 3rd. They are all just the greatest bunch. I was hoping I could get Dr Guidot to do my thyroid FNAB but the surgeon wants one of the hospitals. I had no idea the surgeon wasn't gonna do the procedure. By the time I found that out things were just moving too fast. But Covenant staff has been great about tracking down what invasive radiologist will be on and doing my procedure and believe it or not even managed to schedule a consult w/him yesterday. I still wish it was Guidot at PMI doing it tho. *sigh* Or Dr Talati at Covenent. I hoped I'd be lucky at Covenant to get him, but no dice. *sigh*

Oh that is too funny! Nope, didn't hear that story. I was very happy with everyone there...all sooo nice! She wanted my scope before my next remicade cause I have been doing really badly and all they had was a 4 pm...wasn't happy about that, but wanted my remicade! But thankfully they called the day before and ended up having a 9 am cancellation!!! Woohoo!

Dang!! I'm not happy to hear you've been doing badly, CrohnieMomx2!!! That's a real bummer! I'm DELIGHTED you scored a 9 AM scope!!! That helps sooo much. I'm sorry I've neglected you since we first got together. Its just that I am one of these "last minute" people so I tend to contact the "easiest to reach at the last minute" friends when I go in to town to see if they are available for lunch. I don't know how you keep up when your Crohn's has been behaving badly!!!! How's Roger's job holding up? Danielle's is hanging in there tho she's busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. More work, less workers.

No problem C2! Roger is still working...most days more than he should be! But that's ok...I'm just thankful that he still has a job! I'm glad to hear that Danielle still has hers.
