I'm supposed to be on a very low fiber diet, due to stricturing, but want to add vegetable and fruit juices to my diet in a big way.  I was on the verge of buying a masticating juicer (rather than a centrifugal one) but someone into nutrition in a serious way warned me against it, said such juicers produce too much fiber, which is crystallized?  I've only been able to find minimal information about fiber output of this type of juicer. Anyone have any experience or done research (or talked to a GI doc) about this issue?  Thanks.

PS - any thoughts on what is best to juice (I've heard conflicting things about carrot and cabbage)?

Hopefully EMom or SpookyH will be along soon. Both I believe have recommendations for juicers. Hugs!
