So here's the rundown. 60 cm of colon infected , 7 days in hospital didn't fix it , temporary ileostomy didn't let it heal , next up is humira. I had been having success with remicade until recently so now it's humira's turn. What sort of experiences has anyone had with that? Has it worked for you ? Has it worked for you after remicade failed to or ceased? Tell me something encouraging guys :)
Asacol 400mg x 8 dly , 50 mg Mercaptapurine x 2 dly , 20 mg Omeprazole x1 dly , Remicade every 8 weeks , Multivitamin , Fish Oil , Currently living ileostomy bag-style , Align

I had my first Remicade infusion almost 5 days ago. The results have been truly wonderful. I haven't felt this close to remission in a long time. I'm not there yet, but I can't wait for my 2d infusion!

I was on Remicade for about a year. It put me in remission, but then stopped working. A few years later, after a few other failed drugs, I was on Humira for a year. It worked for that time period, but then stopped as well. That seems to be my pattern tho, having drugs work for about a year and then crap out on me... eyes

I was on Humira from 10/07-06/09. It worked at the beginning. I had to stop, due to fever and a stricture in the colon that happened while on Humira. However, remember that every case is different, what may work for one person may not work for someone else. Good luck!!

Humira worked wonderfully for me for 3 years! All my symptoms went away. It was great! It worked much better than Remicade for me. Hope it works for you.
