does anyone know any credible evidence on the question of which is better absorbed? i've been told both ways. on the one hand, the shot goes straight to the blood, but it is 1000mg and the spray is 5000mg. if they're equally good at absorption (i know there are other differences like cost), i'd rather take the spray, but i've heard conflicting views.

The shot is the best way to ensure absorption of B12. If your B12 levels are low, you could try using shots (perhaps monthly for a few months) to get them up to an optimal level.

And then use the nasal spray to try to maintain that level...the instructions below say the nasal spray has 500 mcg B12 and should be sprayed in one time in only one nostril, once weekly. And that serum B12 levels should be checked (via labs) to figure out whether it is working well enough for you.
