It varies person to person. I know you are newly diagnosed, and as I told you in your thank you post the first flare is usually the most difficult for us and the hardest to get back under control because it takes a bit to figure out what treatment is best for YOU. JMHO

I just got diagnosed in December of last year and I'm pretty sure I've never gotten remission... I've felt better for a few weeks at a time some times and I have more good days than bad days but I never feel 100% awesome. I'm wondering if I should go back to my doctor! I just hate the tests and the thought of going on more serious drugs. For now I'm experimenting with my diet and seeing what works for me and trying out different supplements and stuff. That doesn't at all answer your question but I guess I'm saying that I think I might have been in a flare for the past year of my life since I'm not completely sure what exactly a flare up means. I'm just as confused as you apparently!
