Wish me luck!  I'm getting my abdominal fistula repaired/ resection....2 for 1 special I guess, haha.  I cannot wait to get this over with, but sad that I'll be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital.
Dianogsed with Crohns: At 16 years old. 22 years old now.
Surgeries:2 Bowel Resections, Gallbladder Removed, 3 Abscess Cleanings
Current Meds: Cimzia, Methorexate, Vitamin B12 (injections), Nexium.
Next Surgery: Nov. 20th to Take Down Abdominal Fistula!!!

Hopes and prayers that all goes well and maybe youll get home a little early too. Hope this is the last Thanksgiving that you have to have YOUR giblets removed instead of the turkey.. Gobble gobble....

Tell Dr. W. that he'll be getting an office visit from one of your "crohnies" in a couple of weeks!

Diagnosed with crohn's at 13 now 42
resection, right hemi 1993 In remmision from 93 till last sept with no meds or docs
2 resections small bowel  and fistula jan 09 and given temp stoma.  reversal 1st week of Jan. Meds:Pentasa 500mg 3x day,  B12 shots, every 3 months, iron syrup,loperimide,folic acid,  citalopram 60mg (for Anxiety.)

Crohn's Disease for over 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium  w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed. Resections in 2002 and 2005. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!

Hi, I am teddybearweiser, I am a male.
I was diagnosed with crohns disease when i was admitted to the hospital

in 1992, in Jan of 1993 I was back in the hospital for surgery for my crohns. I had part of my right colon resectioned with ilecolonstomy.

My GI doctor has me on and Humira. B-12 injection once a month.
Also diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I hope all goes well.

Just look at it this way though...if you weren't having surgery, you probably wouldn't feel like eating much anyway.

28 year old husband and father of 1 (soon to be 2!!), Diagnosed with Crohns and resection surgery in Jan '09 (same ER trip), currently not winning the battle with pain, taking: 6mp, Pentasa, Prednisone and every vitamin possible!
