Does sound like a UTI, but it could be something else like stones of some sort if you've had problems with those before. It's good you're going to see the PA, they will be able to collect urine and test it. If it is a UTI, they will put you on some antibiotics like Bactrim or Cipro.

Hmm weird, I've had 2 UTIs and I don't remember having foul smelling urine with either (although I hear that this is possible). I also didn't have any lower back pain or anything (or groin pain that I remember), just felt like I had to pee constantly but nothing would come out. Have you considered the possibility of PID? You have the symptoms for it, although I suppose it could also be a UTI, I've just never had one like you described. If you have back pain due to a UTI, it seems like it must have spread to your kidneys. UTIs and PID can be easily mistaken for each other, though.

Hope you feel better soon, let me know what it is, I'm curious.

Drink pure (naturally sweetend) cranberry juice everyday, besides the overall health benefits, it targets bladder and urinary tract health.

Ouch! I've had blood once too, it's painful. Glad you're on antibiotics, they usually kick in really fast at least. I agree with pb4, cranberry juice really helps. It's good to drink every day if you get recurring bladder infections/UTIs.

If you could get it to burn I would think so!

Physcomitrella patens is increasingly used in biotechnology. Prominent examples are the identification of moss genes with implications for crop improvement or human health [7] and the safe production of complex biopharmaceuticals in the moss bioreactor, developed by Ralf Reski and his co-workers [8].

Let me know how it goes. smilewinkgrin
