back on pred....

hi...well i'm back on pred...juss on for two days but i'm hardly getting any sleep....close to 4 hours a day...the first time i use pred it work perfectly fine but this time.....well.......im juss wondering if any of u take pills or medication for sleeping during the use of pred.....i heard is addictive(sleeping pill)=P

I personally have not but I do know some that have been prescribed medications to help with sleep. You might call your doctor and discuss your inability to sleep and see if they will prescribe something for a very short time to get you over the rough part.

I found it useful to take a couple Benadryl. It's the same medicine most OTC sleep meds have.
Diagnosed with CD July 2007
Currently on Remicade, Imuran, probiotics, folic acid, multivitamin.

Tomboi, do you take your Pred as early in the morning as possible? That might help avoid some of the insomnia effects. And I agree Bendryl is a good one to try.

Crohn's Disease for over 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium  w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed. hi...thx for the answer.....neway Bendryl u guys talk abut is it over the counter or i need my doc to prescribe also.......i juss realize this last night my body and arm get really itchy by night do u guys think it would be the pred.......im not sure should i call my gi he seem so busy and but he book me an apointment in 2week........
