I had my second infusion of Remicade on Friday. I was so scared that I was going to have some horrible side effect from it.
Long story short. Sat through it for 2 1/2 hours and no problems. Then I had a weird feeling a couple of hours afterwards. I hadn't felt it in so long I couldn't believe it. It was ...... ENERGY. I actually felt great and wanted to go out and do something...anything besides lying on a bed. All weekend I have had this burst of energy like I used to have years ago.
For so long now I have been so tired and haven't wanted to do anything. Now, I want to take on the world. To top it all off, I was going to the bathroom at least 10 times a day...now I am down to at most 5.
I recently moved to NJ and there is a hugh park across the street from me. I have yet to walk through it and enjoy the nature. Sunday, my wife and I explored the park, the bathroom never on my mind.
For anyone out there still worried about Remicade...don't be. I feel like it is the miracle drug and while this may not last, I am going to celebrate being somewhat normal again.
