If anybody's interested in reading technical and state-of-the-state medical articles on IBD, the Nov. 19 issue of New England Journal of Medicine has 3 related articles:

Mechanisms of Disease: Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Mutations Affecting the Interleukin-10 Receptor

Interleukin-10 in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

content.nejm.org/cgi/collection/gastroenterology

I'm currently working my way through the first article, which is 11 pages, has nice diagrams/tables, and appears to be a very good all-around description of IBD and current understanding. The second article is pretty long too. My local library carries the NEJM, so I just photocopied the articles.

Too bad - the link requires a subscription to view the articles.
