I just wanted to post this for support. I saw that you're having stress from your exam, and I wanted to say I'm right there with you!

I hate that you can work so hard for several months, do well, and then fail because of one test. My fiance has made one B and all A's, but his teacher said the highest he can get is a C because of the days he missed (ten total). She said special circumstances would be fine, and said he was okay since he had notes from my doctors' offices, but she completely reversed that now. The worst part for me is that he missed those days because of my appointments, ER trips, and medical procedures.

I don't know what you've been through this semester, but I'm sorry that teachers cannot act like human beings and use their judgment rather than hide behind their syllabus.

I'm wishing you the best of luck, and I hope you have stress-free days soon so you can start feeling better!!

Thank you so much! This put a goofy grin on my face... it's tough being in school and working hard and not seeing results you deserve because you can't always be there. I'm so sorry about your fiance's teachers attitude! That's both unfair and uncalled for, and I'm sure the stress of worrying about his school as well can't be helping you. I guess sometimes people just don't get it, and that's a huge shame.
Good luck to you too! Soon it will be relaxing holidays time and I am just holding on to that thought, and hoping for the best with the exam!
Thanks again!

I understand completely! I'm hoping that if we speak out enough on our behalf, those who are in a similar situation later on will be met with more understanding. It shouldn't be that students with disabilities are treated exactly the same as those who are simply lazy.

Best of luck on the exam! I'm sure you'll do great :)

I just finished mine this past week so I'm getting all of my housework done until I have no energy left. Crohn's and its medications just drain you...

Thanks for the luck! Only 13 hours til I sit down for my last exam and then it will be over and I will feel light as a feather! Until next semester that is... but having a few weeks off will be good for my head! (and guts)
I hope your time off is still going well and that you have lots of energy!
