Does anyone know if eczema is associated with Crohn's? I'm not 100% sure it is eczema, but I recently started having issues on the skin behind my ears. I used to have issues as a kid, but since then I never had any problems until recently. Anyone else have this issue?

I used to get it on a few areas before I was diagnosed (was having symptoms, as I look back at it) but it seems to have disappeared. A good lotion always seemed to help.
Diagnosed with CD July 2007
Currently on Remicade, Imuran, probiotics, folic acid, multivitamin.

Yes, it can be....you can get an RX for cortisone cream to clear it up, if it's really severe you may need antibiotics and cream for it.

I used to have eczema as a kid ... and as I got older, the only place I had it was on my hands (between my fingers, on my palms, the knuckles).  But shortly after I started taking all the Crohns medications, my eczema stopped.  That was eight years ago.  Now, I occassionaly get a patch under my wedding ring ... but that's like once a year.  Go figure.

Betamethasone Valerate Lotion USP, 0.1% is the best treatment I've found.

I feel a whole lot more the way I do now than I did a little while ago.

My Daughter had eczema long before having Crohn's. She's used Spectro cream, and had very good success with it.
My daughter was diagnosed Feb. 19/07, (13 yrs. old at time of diagnosis), with Crohn's of the Terminal Illium. Has used Prednisone and Pentasa. Started Imuran (02/09), had an abdominal abscess (12/08). 2cm of Stricture.

I deal with eczyma too. It's a pain, especially when you're already dealing with other illnesses.
Diagnosed with mild proctitis in March 2007: Treated with Canasa (as needed)
Horrible relapse: August 08 - December 08: Began treating with Asacol 400mg (9/day) + Canasa 2x/day - Anemic
Canasa nightly + Asacol (9/day) + Probiotics + Iron

Ever since I been taking Humira I had bad eczyma . I can not get it under control. The Doctors that I have been using said I am not allergic to it . The Humira doesn't seem to be helping my crohns either so I don't know what to do.
