I haven't touched alcohol in 9 months or so since I've been on SCD. Any SCDers have any advice what to order that's safe at bar for new years? I heard dry wine is ok, but what is dry wine?

I found this to be helpful. Best of luck in finding something to celebrate with!

Hi SherBear, and welcome!

The SCD is the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. You can read about it in the book, "Breaking the Vicious Cycle", by Elaine Gottschall. The SCD websites are great, but the book explains it better.

Also, there are some previous discussion threads on the SCD and the Maker's Diet below in my signature. :-)
Mom to 17 year old son diagnosed in June, 2007.
Omega 3s, digestive enzymes, probiotics, vit. C, calcium, vit. D3, a good multivitamin and SCD legal yogurt
Started The Maker's Diet in Sept. '07. Incorporate Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) recipes, too. Med-free.
