Tonight I was getting my second Humira injection the first 4 I did at the hospital well the nurse did 3 and I did one.

No I had to do 2 home alone, and I was getting so nervous that I actually had a nightmare about humira a week ago.

Well it went super well no pain very easy.

I would take Humira over Remicade everyday now that I have tried both and I am only talking about how easy it is to use Humira.
I am not saying anything about witch works better since I have no idea.

But I hope Humira will work better for me since Remi did not work out so well..

Well done, Isergodur. It feels wonderful, doesn't it, to be able to inject yourself and not have to rely on someone else to do it for you?

Congrats! I will be giving myself the next two injections on the 13 th. I does feel nice being able to inject yourself and not have to rely on thers for help.

yeah Self-injection is a skill that no-one can call pointless...! smilewinkgrin

I'm glad to hear you were able to get through so well :) I know it's so stressful at first, but it does get easy doesn't it? I've never tried remicade so I can't compare, but I can imagine the 10-30 minutes (I would wait a lot longer sometimes..ahem..) it takes for the injections must be a lot better than the hours for remicade. I wish you the best of luck, by the way! I really hope this works!
Diagnosed with Crohn's in May of 2008.
Currently taking for Crohn's: Pentasa, omeprazole, Loestrin birth control, and Align probiotics.
Also taking Elmiron and RE Methylphen for Interstitial Cystitis.

I know it is not much but It was becoming a mountain in my head :)

I was also so afraid to do something wrong and have to through the pen away with out using it. Since one pen costs 1000 dollars.
I don't have to pay anything for them but someone has to so I better be careful.

Congrats on giving yourself the humira. I have been on humira since May its alot cheaper
then remicade.
Hi, I am teddybearweiser, I am a male.
I was diagnosed with crohns disease when i was admitted to the hospital

in 1992, in Jan of 1993 I was back in the hospital for surgery for my crohns. I had part of my right colon resectioned with ilecolonstomy.

My GI doctor has me on and Humira. B-12 injection once a month.
Also diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
