Hi, I'm a bit confused had a pre assessment this morning for my ileostomy reversal scheduled for 27th Jan and have been told by the nurse that i must stop eating solid food as from 11am on 25th jan! and just be on clear fluids till midnight the night before op is this right? It seems a long time, when whatever i eat is in the pouch within 2 hours also when i had the original op i had to stop eating at 2am then had the op at 3pm. If you have had a reversal what pep did you have to do if any thanks for any input Bev x

P.S i have also posted this on the ostomies forum
