toenail fungus on Humira?

Hi folks- I generally post on the UC forum, but very few people over there are using Humira. I just finished my first 4 pens over the past 2 weeks, & am scheduled to do the final 2 loading doses this coming Thursday. Then switching to one pen biweekly. Anyway, I have a NASTY toenail fungus on my big toe- it was there prior to me starting the Humira, but it seems to have suddenly gotten much worse- the fungus-y part covering more of the nail, the nail starting to come off the nail bed at its base.... pretty gross! So my overactive imagination kicks in, & suddenly I have a vision of myself having this fungus spread thru my body, thanks to the Humira & Imuran... am I being crazy??? What do you guys think? I hadn't planned to call my PCP- it is just a toenail, but... now I'm thinking I ought to let them know. Any of you have similar minor fungus infections like this? Think it's cause for concern?
diagnosed with UC '02
meds-
Asacol- 8 tabs/day
Remicade-10mgs/kg- from 4/07 thru 1/10
Humira- started 1/10
Imuran- 150mgs/day
various probiotics & fiber supplement

see doc... the street remedy is soak em in vinegar (aka pee on them)

word to the wise, go see a dr. asap. i had what i thought was shingles, i was put on a med for that. had to go back as things got worse, they said it might be a fungal infection & to treat it with lamisil spray. got worse AGAIN and has now spread to my hands. if it was treated properly in the beginning i would have been ok. it all started with a few toenails that looked like it lifted away from the skin and were yellow.

good luck & get to the doc right away. i am so miserable with my hands like this now :(

I agree with the others that you need to tell/see your doc, right away.

Ugh, I guess I will- I made an appt. for this Thursday. I hope he takes it serioulsy- he's usually pretty good, re. my "complicated" medical history. It's a little ridiculous... sometimes (often!!!!) I hate being on these meds! Can you imagine the indignity of dying from a toenail fungus?!?!! Dustspeck, did they ever find out what is causing yours? Are you on an antifungal med? Is it helping???
