I started having some LLQ pain a few weeks ago which I've never had before. My CD is in the terminal ilium so I always have LRQ pain when I'm flaring. I have tapered down to 10mg Pred but with school starting back up I started to flare again. Back to 10x a day in the bathroom (which I know isn't a lot compared to a lot of you :P) and I've been having some proctitis, the LLQ and LRQ pain, lots of mucus in the stools and more blood than I am used to. I noticed the other day that my antidepressant pill was in the toilet...whole :( Of all the pills to not digest.... Well I was going to bring it up to the GI when I see them on the 5th but just now when I went to the bathroom there was sausage on the tp...actual chunks of sausage from the links I ate last night. I am a little concerned now because I've never had trouble digesting food unless it was something like corn. I was feeling pretty crappy this morning and I had to go to my internship so I sucked it up and bumped myself back up to 20mg of Pred. I called to see if I could get into the GI sooner but they haven't had any cancellations. I am going to start a low residue diet tonight but I just don't know what is going on with me. Anyone ever have any changes like this before? My CD has been pretty consistent for the last 3 years so changes are a little scary to me.

Sounds like possibly your Crohns may have moved?? I think you were smart to move back up on the pred as maybe you went down too fast. I would put a call into your doc and discuss these new issues. Doesn't sound normal to me. Good luck!

I agree with Gail that you should talk to your doc ASAP. IMO any new symptoms should be discussed with doc right away.

Hope you get this under control real soon.

I feel a whole lot more the way I do now than I did a little while ago.

Thanks guys. I'll give a call to my infusion nurses in the morning to see if they can get me squeezed in with the GI before the 5th. Hopefully it isn't anything big cause I need to graduate in May!!! :D
