Hi, all well my Op next week for a reversal has been cancelled as surgeon is seriously ill. have been given the option of having a diffrent surgeon but refused as i have a good relationship with the one i've got also he is one of the best! So im willing to wait till he comes back (which his secertary reckons hopefully around march time.)Also as the saying goes Better the devil you know than the devil you don't lol!! yeah yeah yeah Bev x
Diagnosed with crohns at 13 now 43
Reversal of temp stoma scheduled 27th Jan 10 :-)
Meds: Iron syrup,Loperimide,Folic acid & Citalopram 60mg (for Anxiety.)

Awww Bev I am so sorry your wait continues. Sounds like you are making the right choice though. Keep us posted on the new date. Hugs!

Crohn's Disease for over 34 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium, Vit D, and Xanax prn. Resections in 2002 & 2005. Also diagnosed w/ Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, & Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!

I'm so sorry as I know you have been waiting so long for this. But in the grand scheme of life, what is a few weeks. As you said, better to wait and get the surgeon you know. And a few years from now, will it really matter that you had to wait a few weeks? It just seems like such misery now. ((((HUGS))))

CD 20 years officially, 30 unofficially. 3 resections '93, '95 '97
Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!


Prednisone, 6MP,Prevacid, B12 shots, Bentyl, Xifaxan.....
