Hey guys I need your help before I call the doc, It has been several years since I have had blood in my stool but for about 3 BM's now i have had bright red blood and I have also been having some minor cramps in my right lower stomach. My stools have been a lot harder than usual to, no D. Could this be a flare coming on? Thanks for your help guys.

Not sure...do have more C with your disease. In any case, I would call and let the doctor know. It could be fissure and or hemmies from the C...but you'll still want to get it check out. Now to answer your question, I don't really ever have C ...but there are others who do and would probably be able to help you...

I agree with Becoming undone that I think it could be a fissure or internal hemmoroids from the C. I suffer with constipation myself and use stool softners nightly in order to keep things softer and easier to pass. You might want to get in and get either another scope or a small bowel follow thru to make sure you haven't developed a stricture. Good luck!

First off...where is the blood?  Is it in the stool, in the water, or just on the paper?  If it is in the stool...it could be a flare.  If it is just the water..it could be a flare or a hemmie/fissure.  If it is just on the paper, it might be a hemmie or fissure.

Try using some Preperation H for a couple of days to smooth yourself and reduce the inflammation.   Also, if you can, see a doc.  He can get a better view down there than you can turn

Feel better and good luck
