Can someone just remind me that these are prednisone induced emotions?  The tears have been coming for the past six hours - rationally I know that is not normal - it has to be the prednisone (obv plus the combo of not feeling well and the craziness of that) but this happens to everone else when they take this, right?  I was on 40 mg, tapered down to 15, started to flare again so am back up to 40 for the past 2 days.  Ugh.

Yeah, probably the pred. I think pred amplifies all emotions.

Yes it happens to everyone. But the thing that I think we all forget is that we can ask our doctors for help with the side effects if they get to be too much. The prednisone is a necessary evil, but we shouldn't have to suffer with sleepless nights and endless anxiety. Those things can, and should, be helped.

Not saying you are anyplace near that, just reminding us all to ask for help from our doctors and not try to be super human.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Prednisone, 6MP,Prevacid, B12 shots, Bentyl, Xifaxan.....

it's the pred. I just recently started and am afraid of moon face, very emontional night last night for me. be strong think positive I eat alot of papaya(fresh) it's a natural digestive enzyme, so my bm's have no odor nor does my expelled gas. it's like the best med I've ever taken. I take prd for my mouth and tongue breakout. very depressing

I needed to hear that too. I've been getting so randomly depressed lately. Today hit me really hard and reminded me why I refuse to ever get a gun =\ I made myself work out and feel a little better but I'm still pretty crapped out. I'm glad to know that it's not just me and these stupid meds are probably making it worse. At least it gives me hope that I won't feel like a rollercoaster forever :)

I've had a few hopeless feeling sad days in the past few weeks too, I do find it helps to remind myself it's the medication. Generally, I am a pretty lucky person and don't have much to complain about at all but I just feel so sad sometimes! It sucks. Especially since I'm feeling alot healthier than I have in a long time right now... I'm looking forward to getting off this stuff! (And having a normal sized face again)
