I was diagnosed with Crohn's in April 2008 after they removed my appendix (turns out my appendix wasn't inflamed, I was actually having a flare-up). I' was on Entecort for a year and haven't had a flare up since. I get severe pains in my muscles and joints (from my shoulders down to my feet) that range from a dull tingling to feeling like my muscles are on fire...is this a part of Crohn's? They've just recently gotten worse and are now accompanied with bloating in my stomach and constant bathroom trips. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm a graduate student and I'm afraid of things getting worse and not being able to finish my degree on time. I feel like no one really explained to me what else accompanies the bathroom issues; I've done some research on my own but I still don't feel like I fully understand what is going on with my body. I watch what I eat and have a good idea of what foods upset my stomach. I guess I'm trying to figure out better questions to ask my GI. I'm really glad I found this place, now I don't feel so alone.

I have never thought about that. Hopefully I can get in to see my dr. soon and I think I will mention RA to him. Thanks for the information. :)

Welcome, I felt as you do about finding this site. The discussions here really help with trying to figure out what to ask my Dr but also when I am weeks (or months) away from seeing him I usually find someone here that can help with a question.

So ask away, someone here is bound to have been through something similar.

Good Luck.
