I don't take VSL#3. Have thought about it, but am not gonna do anything for a while. Until I read this thread, didn't know it was on prescription though.

Ferring links to this site: VSL#3

How long does the stuff last for? Any chance of getting 8 boxes or more??

If it works like normal prescriptions just take the precription into your pharmacy and they'll order it in. I've had a few random meds that aren't usually stocked and they just ordered them in for me, all no charge of course. Might ask my doc about this next time I go, I've been curious to try probiotics but now if I can get them free it'll give me a better incentive!

Hi, I went to check this out with my GP today, am able to get it on a private prescription which is 30 sachets for £32 which is so much cheaper than on the net which is £45 plus postage he did mention that the NHS may not pay out for it if i wanted to be on it long term but to look on the NICE (National institute clinical excellence)if they list it then it can be obtained on NHS perscription, will check it out otherwise i will go with the private one. thanks guys for your replies Bev x
