Hi Everyone,
I'm sick of eating applesauce every single morning (that's what I mix my psyllium seed powder into) and I'd like to maybe make a smoothie. That sounds yummy! But I know a lot of fresh fruit would be sketchy...

Anyone have any ideas of things to put in a smoothie that would be more Crohn's friendly? Or any ideas of other foods/drinks I could mix my powder into? Fruit juice is just too much sugar I feel. Any ideas would be great though!

Thanks :)

I make banana/yogurt smoothies a lot and they seem pretty agreeable with CD.

Or banana and peanut butter with milk / soy milk / yoghurt / whatever. Yum :-).

Pear & milk / milk alternative is nice too.

I like strawberries and yoghurt. Blueberries don't bother me either if blended well.

I use brown rice protein powder with rice milk ... and I add super food (dried greens and veggies) along with physillum .. works for me!
Diagnosed with Crohn's 2004 via pill camera    Imuran (6MP) kicked into remission (along with modified diet) so went off in 2006.

2009/2010 acute flare and hospitalization - put back on Imuran. Currently taking 55 mg prednisone.
Current problem - protruding thrombosis hemorrhoid.
