Dunno what time it is in your part of the world, but hope you get more sleep the next night. I don't sleep brilliantly, but I do sleep. I have had a few nights of pain bad enough to keep me awake recently, but mostly it isn't bad enough to stop me from falling asleep, though I can't lie directly on my stomach.

If you have pain that bad every night, then I feel for you :-/

Are you doing anything besides meds to help the process?, I'm currently in a bad flare and especially during these times its hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep any night as well. Everyone is different but for me peppermint tea really settles my stomach down. I'm also really into meditation, even if i have already meditated earlier in the day, i find that if i do so right before i go to bed for half an hour, but starting out even as simple as 15 min it calms my mind and keeps it from racing and jumping on everything that is going on and when i come to a state of peace and tranquil mind then it is easier for my body to do so. just a thought....but i do feel for you its rough.

if  you can afford one go to sleep specialist, if you have ins. mine is fantastic for my sleep med's. I found my dr. and my gi. do not know enough about good and proper sleep med's. but they all know what I take ins. is all linked so they know that my sleep spec. gives me med's, they never seem to question me about it. I wouldn't care if they did. we heal best in our sleep, and rem sleep is vital

Sleep ? Whats that ? I tend to doze from time to time and then about ever three or four days I crash for almost a whole night , then I start over . Hope you get some sleep soon, but if not, try small naps, there a life saver....

lying there quiet is a form of meditation and good to reduce stress.
