Things are looking up ...I think!! I am having surgery on Feb. 16th. My new surgeon and I have come to terms.... he will do his best to reconnect me,but will only do it if he feels I will be ok and not end up with a leak, I agree not to punch him in the nose if I wake up with another colostomy!  He said" gosh I feel so much better now!" I think I had put the fear of Cindy in him! lol

He says surgery will be a min. of 3 hours. I also have a hernia to repair. I want to get this over with. This waiting is a killer. about the possible mass. He says it just looks "funny" where they disonnected things. Probably scar tissue from either that or the rectal crohns I had before. Not too worried about that.

Wish me luck. Been  long 5 years. No sign of CD anywhere except the 3 cm ulcer going into my stoma. I need to lose a few lbs. LOL what a way to lose it!

Aww Cindy, here's hoping and praying this surgery provides you with a long long remission either way. Do keep us posted on how the surgery goes and your recovery. Big Hugs!

I hope your surgery goes well and you don't have to punch the doc! I just had my ananstamosis redone after 27+ years 2 weeks ago. I'm doing well and the surgery took about 3 hours or so. Good luck with the clear liquids and the prep. Will be thinking of you.

That's wonderful that you got things set. I know it was worrying you and you wanting things to move forward. I hope all goes well for you.
