Just returned from a 7 day cruise and my husband has a whole new sympathy for those of us with CD!  All of that cruise food and some drinking and my husband was visiting the bathroom more often than ever & asking where my baby wipes were.  He kept asking me....how do you do this all of the time?

It was great to be in the warm weather and relaxing, but oddly on this cruise my guts and my joints got worse instead of better like the last cruise.  It may also be that I celebrated a little more this time than last....it should not be allowed to stop in a port with a Senor Frogs on one day and a Margaritaville the next!!!devil  Daiquris are evil!

Hmmmm left 80+ degrees to return to -2 on Saturday.  I think that shocked my guts back to reality.  It is just great to know that my husband can empathize instead of sympathize now smilewinkgrin
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]
I'm riding on the escalator of life....

Ooh that sounded fun. Now maybe hubby will be a little more sympathetic:) I know my husband makes the same comments after he has had a bout of the stomach flu.

Glad your hubby can empathize. My vacation stopped me up. I think the flying did me in. Both ways, I didn't go for 2 days, almost got worried, but I didn't have pain! But I think I'll stay away from cruises after your story.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!
