My GI office called me this morning and said my white blood cell count was low (3.33, normal is 4.5-11) from a blood test I had last thursday. they want me to repeat my test this thursday and see if it was just a fluke. But I'm worried now. My family just got home from a trip and they are all sick and puking their guts out. I'm trying to keep my distance but its hard to do.

could the low count be caused by my imuran or even pentasa? what could happen if i do get sick, could it land me in the hospital?

Yes the Imuran can do this. Its common to have to have your blood tested frequently while on Imuran. They are probably rechecking it to make sure it doesn't go too long. Hugs!
