but wish I had today! hard to tell how tired and wonky it makes you feel when you're home on the sofa, but being at work I really feel it.
Bad fissure Feb 2005. Started Remicade 2006. Fissure #1 healed, now deal with smaller fissure that comes and goes. Clean scope 2009 except for fissure. Also on Pentasa.

neverfeel guilty missing work if cd issue's. only If.1 you're afraid you will loose your job.2 you need the $. I called in sick today becauseI don't feel like stressing out. I had bathroom issue's this morning, and I new it could be problematic at work, so I worked on my property at my art business, and when i had to go I didn't have to ask for permission, if you know what i mean.

yeah, the real dumb thing is that everyone looked at me and said "what are you doing here..you look loike you don't feel well.". Could have had a free day. But I did actually have some work that I'm glad is done. And now I'm home!!

I am in my third week off from work. I feel terribly guilty. I tried to go in a couple of days but ended up crashing and burning. My friends and even my boss finally told me to stay home until you are feeling better.

Snappy, you could have your infusion from 1pm to 5pm.
Work from 7am to 1230,pack a lunch, and eat after they
start your I.V. and give you pre-meds.
Hopefully your infusion center and work demands can be
worked out.

I have been taking off for my infusions...and I don't even worry about it.  I go for the infusion early in the morning (around 8-9) and don't get out till about 12.  It will take some time to get to work so why go in for 4 hrs.  Not worth the energy.  I also do my infusions on a Friday so I will have the weekend to recouperate so I don't have to use sick days if I feel bad from the infusion.

It was a mistake to go back to work. Not only did I feel bad all day yesterday but now I feel bad today for not getting the rest. I think all my (intentional) weight loss has made the grogginess from Remicade worse, even though they have adjusted the dosage.  I used to get this on Fridays but the new infusion center isn't open on Fridays. Bummer!

Well... I actually feel good about missing one day of work every other month. Time to rest, read, play (games), sleep without any guilty thoughts.
After telling my disease and last surgery stories, in every possible detail (yes... these too), they became even more supportive.

Even learned to "enjoy" my infusions. Relax.

I'm a university student and have timed my infusions thus far so that I can go to one class, but have to miss the other class and work ... sometimes I feel bad for missing because of it but look at it this way - if you didn't get it you'd probably have to miss a lot more, right? :)
