What type of Side effects do you guys Commonly notice with methotrexate?

Any vision changes?

Since MTX is an Antimetabolite, Im almost thinking this may be the drug to help me.. I always seem to metabolize drugs WAY too fast.

Is MTX anything like 6-mp? I got leukopenia from 6-mp which later went away. Im hoping i dont get any major issues and can safely stay on mtx.

I started out on MTX tablets, for the first month the day I took it (bearing in mind I took it in the morning before I twigged about taking it in the evening to sleep through side-effects doh!) I'd get some visual disturbance such as flashing colours and shadows kind of like when your BP drops really low, and would be tired and very nauseous. But these would only last a day and each time I took it the side-effects got less and less I guess as my body got more used to it. Then I started taking it at night so slept through the worst of it and then would just have a bit of nausea the following day - I found prochlorperazine brilliant for that.
I'm now on injections and have no side-effects except I sleep very heavily that night and am a bit zombified when I wake so I do it the night before I have a day off uni. Been on it 8 years, brilliant drug!

I am doing the IM shots and am one month into treatments. I haven't noticed any side effects from the shots and so far my blood work is ok too. I get another lab on Monday, week 4.

I've been on it before but my doc cut me off at 4 weeks. My new GI says it takes 2-3 months to know if it will be effective.
