My stool came out very weird to day. Have not seen anything like it. Recently my stools have been a little constipated, but I still go about 1-2 times per day. Anyway, they usually come out in one piece, but half of the stool comes out like compacted tiny balls, and the other half is smooth. Weird.
Anyway, last night I had a lot of spinach, so just now my stool came out green, but it had regular brown little constipated stool balls all over. So it was basically mixed and it kind of freaked me out. What is the story with that?
Anyone have any ideas? I have not seen blood in a while but I do see occasional mucus. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

PS - I try to eat plenty of fiber so I don't know why my stools come out half constipated. Let alone, mixed colors.

Do you think the spinach could cause a "dumping" like effect?

spinach is my kryptonite, like a knife going thru and it comes out just like it went in, looking just like spinach, I haven't eaten spinach or anything green and leafy in 4 yr's. when I did eat it, it came out in 1 hr

I don't think that sounds like anything to be concerned about. The little balls are from constipation (they were probably sitting there for a while), and the smooth part is probably from the spinach passing more quickly, which led to that part catching up to whatever was constipated I guess and changed the color of the solid part.

It sounds normal to me. Be happy it aint loose.

artistguy, i also gave up eating greens for years, but then i decided i should just eat it anyway since I might get something nutritious out of it. Plus, it didn't cause any extra pain. I figured, I have diarrhea anyway... lol

Spinach does the exact same thing for me,and I do the same thing, enjoy it when I can.
