Am so overwelmed with my health and teeth. Seem like always something. I have crohns disease and acid relux and endometrosis and mitral value prolapse and bipolar and thyroid, I don't know everyone goes through this or not . My teeth keep breaking off and delaying so fast. My doctors aren't hurt what causing it so going go down look at my stomach see if I could have to much acid and whatever going on. Cuz I always have ulcers in my mouth and going doctor right now keeps trying me different meds trying make them go away but they don't ever go away. I got 6 jaw teeth cut out and now denttist going fill rest in and hoping and praying stay looking good because whatever messing with my teeth just keeps declaying them. Cuz am spending few thousands get this done and i told dentist what if just eats whatever do to them then said have try something else but easier said then done whenever don't have tons of money spend on them. so much stuff i can't eat or drink because ulcers always in my mouth. wondering what is best book buy or recipe book? As far as I know the crohns diminishes the vitamins in the body and doesnt let them absorb, thats why most of us take vitamin supplements of some kind, also the medications that we are on dont help with vitamin intake, like when Im on prednisone they automatically put me on calcium and vit D .
I take Omega 3 tablets, a multivitamin, Vit B12 tablets as well a 3 monthly injection and the calcium with vit D3. Maybe ask your doctor to put you on a course of vitamins, as I know my teeth are very bad due to the medications etc but I dont think they break as bad as they used to since being on a lot more vitamins.

I don't know . Because the doctor I have now had him for few months and just becoming a doctor and basically tell him whats going on then go talk medical team about it. Cuz I ask them sometimes like well so much stuff am not getting with foods and juices and stuff cuz of my crohn's disease and hypothyroidism and acid relux and mitral value prolapse and endometrosis and everything else. But they look at like there clueless. I heard that taking b complex helps ulcers heal and that c complex helps with immune system cuz I have weak immune system anymore willing try anything cuz I have no energy and so weak and fatigue and aching that I can't ever go outside in the summer or do anything cuz just doing littest thing get shortness of breath and then get really weak for some reason and almost past out and i hated it and being sick . Became to much for me so i go to therapist about it now. he said I just need accept myself . But always something with my health or telling me have something else wrong and also spending 5 thousand have teeth all fill in make them look beautiful again then having worry whatever causing them break off or declaying them going keep doing it cuz seem like no doctor knows what it is. suppose get surgery on april 7 test the acid in my stomach and see find anything out.

mirandadawn, Are you on any type of steroids? Last year I had to have 6 root canals and multiple cavities due to the fact that I was not absorbing vitamins and had been on a high dose of prednisone and entorcort multiple times over the past 6 years. The steroids draw out the calcium from your bones and I now am a 30 year old man with osteoporosis. My teeth have always been really good but then the problems started and kept coming no matter how clean I kept them. After all of the root canals I ended up with a jaw infection that nearly did me in and caused me to lose one of the teeth completely. I had to go on iv antibiotics for quite a while and my jaw is still not normal a year later. I now take 50,000 units of vitamin d every week and 3,000 units daily to try and get me back to where I should be. I would dare say that you are probably in a similar boat as what I was and should have a bone density scan. The other thing that has helped me was switching to the toothpaste sensidyne because it really has taken a ton of the sensitivity away from my teeth.

Before I was properly diagnosed with crohn's I would have sores that travelled through out the roof of my mouth for a few weeks until the anti-biotics could knock it down. Then 1 or 2 months later repeat the whole thing again. I was also losing jawbone (top) for unknown reasons. Those reasons are known now. I had crohn's and it was stealing calcium from my jaw because I wasn't getting much in my diet. The dentist told me if I wanted to have dentures I'd better remove my teeth before so much jawbone was gone they wouldn't have any bone to press against. So I had all my top teeth removed due to lack of jaw bone. It was the best thing I'd ever done it ended all the infections permanently and I started supplemental calcium which stopped the bone loss. Hope this helps some Rob
